As stubborn as Tristan was he went downstairs back to the dormitory jinxing his cousin who was a first year pest, before heading off to the fifth year boys dormitory. He waited a while then headed back out into the main hall. He decided he rather be out by the lake than in the potential zone of his cousin. He headed over to the Whomping Willow and sat down just out of reach as he stared up at the nights sky. He didn't have much to do at any point. He looked out over the lake and sighed it was a clear night so the full moon glistened out over the lake. He had done this when he actually learned how to get past Filch without anyone noticeing.
Tristan sat beneath the moonlight for hours on end, staring up at the sky above him. He had plenty to think about. Earlier that evening, he had caught Harry out of bed, but let him slide as long as he promised to return to his dormitory with Ron. That of course, took Harry by suprise and the two of them left for the seventh floor without a word.
Tristan sighed and looked down at the brilliant green robes he was wearing. He never knew what good came from being a Slytherin. The thugs that were in his dorm, Marcus Flint and the bunch of other brutes only proved his point. Nothing good came from Slytherin. Suddenly he was mad at his father, his mother and himself, he never wanted to be a Slytherin. He had rather been in Gryffindor, like his Uncle Sirius Black.
He thought about his sister and sighed, he understood how she was in Ravenclaw. She was great at everything she did and her Uncle R.J. only proved it through his letters.
He looked over to the other side of the lake as he saw a Merrow jump out of the water, then in an instant watched as it disapeared beneath the surface of the black lake.
"What did I do to deserve this?" he muttered to himself, he half expected someone to answer him ----
